GETTING TO SORRENTO (FROM NAPLES AIRPORT)

Once you land in Naples, there are a few easy ways to get to Sorrento:

Private Transfer

We highly recommend getting a private car to your hotel in Sorrento because it's easy, safe and the quickest way. Please be aware the cars are all high-quality Mercedes, and this is a door-to-door service so you will be taken directly to your accommodation. Ferry

The Ferry from Naples to Sorrento is 45 minutes. Sorrento (Marina Piccola) has direct ferry routes to all Amalfi destinations for your travel needs. The Curreri Viaggi Bus runs directly from Naples Airport Bus Station to Sorrento train station. The cost is €13 and tickets must be bought in advance, <a href="www.curreriviaggi.it" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>. Important Note: The last bus to Sorrento leaves at 7:30PM. if your flight arrives later than that, you'll need to take a taxi.

ALREADY IN ITALY OR LANDING IN ROME?

Rome's airport is Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (FCO). It is 279km away, a 3 hour drive or a 3.5 hour train.

Train

If you arrive at the Naples Central Train Station from Rome or other parts or Italy, there are two ways to get to Sorrento: Campania Express:A private service with a quicker 45-minute journey, offering more comfort, luggage space, and seating. Tickets cost €15 one-way. Circumvesuviana:Runs every 30 minutes, taking 1.15 to 1.5 hours. It costs €4.20 but is often crowded, with no luggage space, toilets, or AC.

NOTES

Passports: Required to be active for at least three months from your return date (six months is recommended). If your passport is set to expire before then, you will likely not be able to board a flight to Europe. Currency Exchange: Many tour guides, shop owners, restaurateurs, etc. in Italy have a preference for cash transactions--with card transactions possibly incurring a 20% surcharge. For this reason, it is recommended to have some euros on hand as you travel. Local banks in the U.S. may be able to exchange some cash before you travel--though you will likely get the best exchange rate if you request at least a few weeks ahead of time. Our wedding planner offers concierge services for all guests. This can include assistance in arranging for private transfers, guided tours, dinner reservations, and hotel recommendations. Travelling as a group? Planning a few days in Sorrento before or after the wedding? Airbnbs and private apartments are hugely popular in Sorrento, especially for families, groups of friends, or guests who want a little extra space. You’ll find plenty of lovely options within a 10–15 minute walk of the wedding venue and beach day, including sea-view terraces, shared pools, and multi-bedroom homes perfect for groups. A small tip for guests: book early! June is one of Sorrento’s busiest months, and the best apartments go quickly.
